Design and Construction of Latrines in Five Tea Factories

Health Poverty Action is currently implementing a women’s economic empowerment and gender equality project in Rwanda.

We are seeking to engage a qualified contractor to design and construct modern, safe and private gender-segregated latrines that adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards, supporting the comfort and well-being of tea estate workers.  

Project Title: Enhancing Women’s Economic Opportunities, Workplace Conditions, and Gender Equality in the tea sector in the Western Province of Rwanda”  

Background: Health Poverty Action has been working with the tea sector in Rwanda for the past two years to help bring economic empowerment to women in the Western Province of Rwanda. The primary objective of this assignment is to engage a qualified contractor to design and construct modern, safe and private gender-segregated latrines that adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards, supporting the comfort and well-being of tea estate workers in five tea estates in Rwanda.

A list of full documentation required is provided in the attached Terms of Reference (TORs). Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.  

Health Poverty Action reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal and to cancel the procurement process at any stage. The selected consultants or firm will be expected to adhere to Health Poverty Action’s ethical standards and to sign and abide by Health Poverty Action’s Programme Participants Safeguarding and Protection Policy.
