How is mental health defined?
The World Health Organization says: “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Mental health is an integral part of this definition.” This means mental health is a state of well-being where individuals can realise their own abilities, cope with the normal stresses of life, work productively and fruitfully, and make a contribution to their community.
