On Tuesday 12th November Health Poverty Action held a screening of A River Changes Course followed by a talk on our work Strengthening communities in Cambodia at the Whirled Cinema in Brixton.
The Sundance Award-Winning film A River Changes Course tells the gripping story of three families living in contemporary Cambodia, struggling to maintain their traditional ways of life in the face of formidable challenges. From Cambodia’s forests to its rivers, from its idyllic rice fields to the capital’s pulsing heart, forces of radical change are transforming the landscape of the country – and the dreams of its people.
The event sold out and was attended on the day by 70 old and new supporters of Health Poverty Action. The event raised a fantastic £600 to help us continue our work strengthening communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America in their struggle for health.
Thank you very much to everyone who came!
