Health in Africa

Health Poverty Action works to strengthen poor and marginalised people in their struggle for health in Africa.

Sub-Saharan Africa is the only place in the world that shows little sign of progress towards the Millennium Development Goals. Health conditions here lag behind all other regions and life expectancy is thirty years less than the UK at just 46 years. Health Poverty Action focuses its efforts on finding sustainable and innovative ways to meet people’s health needs.
