Programmes Development and Quality Advisor (12 months sabbatical cover starting Sept 2017)

 

To support the management of Health Poverty Action’s overseas programme by assisting in proposal writing; monitoring of project activities; and supporting with reporting to and maintaining relationships with some of Health Poverty Action’s institutional donors.  The ideal candidate will have proven experience in writing successful proposals institutional donor, M&E, and project management.

Based in London Vauxhall. Salary starting between £30,447 and £39,492 depending on experience.

The postholder will assist the Sierra Leone, Rwanda and Namibia Country Office teams with programme, contract and financial management. S/he will line manage a programme assistant.  The ideal candidate will have experience of grant monitoring, donor reporting, financial management, proposal & budget development, and M&E preferably in an NGO

Medact is an exciting public health charity which is a fellow member organisation of the People’s Health Movement. Could you be their next Director?

Medact is dynamic membership organisation striving to inspire the health community to be better agents for progressive social change. Having developed out of original incarnations as the Medical Campaign Against Nuclear Weapons and the Medical Association for the Prevention of War, Medact now works across a broad variety of programme areas – including climate change, food systems, militarisation and economic justice – and provides a critical, progressive public health voice.

They are looking for an experienced campaigns or health professional who can help expand Medact whilst ensuring they maintain an effective management structure and a sound financial footing.

The successful candidate will have the planning and communication skills to work with a wide range of members, funders, delivery partners and civil society bodies to drive forward positive systemic change. They’ll also have the management, organisational and financial acumen to build a strong and sustainable organisation able to meet future challenges and seize on opportunities as they arise.
