Carol Singing tops £15,746.14 so far in December
Thank you so much to the 35 incredible choirs that raised their voices in support of #healthforall last week. Choirs sang at tube stations, train stations and even in shopping centres and did a spectacular job raising both awareness and donations. Locations included Old Street, Pinner, East Finchley, Highbury & Islington, Balham, Waterloo East, East Putney, Holborn, Lewisham, Blackheath, Sheffield, Derby, Chester and even the Grand Arcade Shopping Centre in Cambridge.
As a collective body, our wonderful choirs raised £5,877.66 which added to last week’s donations, brings our grand total to a mind boggling £15,746.14 so far in December…. with more choirs participating in the week before Christmas!
Special mention to must also go to Ash and Camberwell Community Choir for doing our first ever ‘choir crawl’ around South East London!
THANK YOU to all our choirs, incredible singers, organisers and venues! Without you, none of this would be possible!
97p from every £1 we have received through carols will go towards our work overseas to where it’s needed most. The other 3p goes towards ensuring that our work is sustainable and brings lasting change. What’s more, due to the way we are funded, every £1 raised by the general public, we are able to raise a further £14 from larger institutional funders. Therefore the money our choirs have raised will have an enormous impact on our work!
